Dorothy Taylor was raised in Michigan, but considers herself a native of Tucson, AZ having spent 3/4 of her life there.  She and John have been married for 43 years and raised two daughters in Tuscon.  Having been a "stay-at-home Mom", she was very involved with her daughters' activities.  She was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, as well as the first female Umpire-In-Chief for Bobby Sox Softball league and tournament play in Arizona.  She also successfully ran for a position on the Marana School District School Board.

Dorothy also worked for Valley National Bank of Arizona in the Professional and Executive Banking department doing "start-up" and investment loans to medical professionals, lawyers, dentists, etc.  During that time she was elected President of the Valbanqueras, an employee women's organization that did fundraising for MDA, scholarships to various young women, and Thanksgiving & Christmas baskets for those in need.

After several years, Dorothy decided she needed a career change and opted to try travel.  She attended a travel school in Tucson and set out to make another career for herself, working for herself.  It proved to be profitable for her and she had many opportunities to travel with the groups she advised.

During her careers, she chaired many committees and fundraising events.  She was a member of ABWA, EWB, Rotary, MDA, and Resources for Women.  She is enjoying the opportunity to contribute to the Sparks Republican Women serving as the 1st VP of Programming.  John retired early and Dorothy decided that was a great idea!  They travel now, and have traveled extensively and hope to continue to do so as time permits.
Sparks Republican Women Programming
Malinda Campbell - SRW 1st VP Programming
Malinda Campbell is a native Texan, born on the naval base in Portsmouth, VA who grew up on a small cotton farm in the middle of nowhere.  After leaving Texas in 1989, she moved to Nevada and pursued a fruitful gaming career.  Malinda left Reno in 1991 to assist the state of Mississippi in opening some of  the first casinos in that state.  After a management stint in Mississippi, and a divorce she returned to Reno in 1996.  After spending the last seven years of her gaming career as a high limit dealer / dual rate manager at Eldorado Casino in Reno - she married the guy that tipped her $1.50.

In November of 2002, she and husband Kevin embarked on the American dream and went into business for themselves relying on Kevin's vast career and experience in the truck repair industry.  They opened American Truck & Trailer Repair, Inc. - a big rig truck and trailer repair garage.  After starting that venture originally with only 4 people, they leaped again in 2004 and opened All Trailer Supply, Inc. - a truck, trailer, & transport parts facility.

In May of 2006 the Campbell's went out on a limb again and opened Dynamic Diesel, Inc. - a pickup garage, and light - medium truck garage.  Today, between the three entities - Malinda & Kevin Campbell are proud to employ over 20 Nevadans and serve the community with quality repair work.

Malinda is the proud mother of two sons Clayton & Quaid - Clayton works in the family business as an office manager, and Quaid is a junior business major at UNR.  Malinda became involved in politics during the last Presidential election, when after attending a caucus, becoming a member of the WCRCC, attending both the county and state convention as a delegate...found herself sitting at the state convention next to a "stranger" that she recognized.  Our beloved Connie Fent who had her vehicle in Malinda's shop at the time - suggested she join Sparks Republican Women.

As they say - the rest is history - and many friendships abound today.
